However, some building and property information is not project-specific and is best stored separately from any one project. This information is also contained in the site. Thus, all current and historical activity at a building site is retrievable from a single location and all projects have consistent site data.

The site specification is a collection of data that describes the building and property’s physical features – such as size, square footage, number of stories and construction materials used. These data points become increasingly meaningful when searching for analogous sites, comparing multiple sites or reporting on a group of sites with commonalities.
